Fully guided fishing with a licensed and experienced guide is $3,025 (6 days/6 nights) and includes a spacious cabin cruiser which gives greater range and access to a larger selection of prime fishing spots. When this huge lake is advertised as "Home of the Monster Pike"-they are not exaggerating. Located in a remote corner of the far north, this outfitter offers world class northern pike, lake trout, walleye and arctic grayling fishing. The 1999 season was the best to date, so the careful conservation practices are paying off! A potential new Saskatchewan record pike of 53 inches was caught and released in the main lake as were other 50+ inch pike. Guests caught 1,394 pike over 36 inches and 508 over 40 inches in length. Fly-out lakes produced some 48 inchers and hundreds of other trophy sized pike. Our anglers also caught walleye to 30 inches, grayling to 17 inches and decent sized lake trout. Improvements for 2000 include upgraded cabins and lodge, some new boats/ motors and airstrip. Various packages are available; 3 days- $1,895, 4 days-$2,095 and 7 days at $2,895. All packages include R/T air from Saskatoon to camp, accommodations in snug cabins with showers, good home cooking, daily guide service(2x1) and custom fishing boats. A day in paradise begins with a good, early breakfast and chances are you will have your first tarpon tail walking by 6:00 in the morning! Fish until noon then back to the lodge for lunch, a dip in the pool and a short nap. Then you and your guide will fish again until dark. World class tarpon and snook fishing plus off shore reef fishing for snapper, jack crevalle, king mackerel, wahoo and tuna. An endless network of backwaters and rivers offer the angler exciting exotic fishes including machaca, majara, guapote and mangrove snapper. January-May is best for tarpon, June- August is still very good for tarpon and best for reef fishing, late August- November is the peak time for giant snook. The fall is also still good tarpon and river fishing. Fishing packages include two nights in San Jose, luxury accommodations and all beverage and gourmet meals at the lodge, fishing guides, ocean boats, prescheduled charters to and from the lodge and all transfers.
